Chris established See Spot Run out of a love of the outdoors and an even stronger love of dogs. Having grown up around dogs, he enjoys nothing more than being surrounded by a few of our canine friends while out walking in the woods or hiking through fields.

Chris’s primary concern has always been the safety of all dogs in his care, so before starting the business, he wanted to make sure they had a permanent, dog-friendly place to walk. In 2005, he purchased a 140-acre parcel of land within the city limits, complete with fields and woodland. Then he planned and cut the six kilometres of trails which make up Spot’s Adventure Playground.

Deb has always loved dogs. This, along with her gentle and compassionate nature, guided her to a career with animals. For nearly 15 years she has been assisting Kingston vets with her extensive knowledge and experience in handling, caring and training dogs of all breeds. You may already have met Deb the last time you took your dog in for a shot! Deb’s professional understanding of the importance of regular exercise and stimulation to a dog’s well-being drove her to join See Spot Run as a walker.

A message from Chris and Deb - As dog owners ourselves, we understand the necessity of knowledge and experience. We have been around dogs for decades, developing a love, understanding and knowledge of these most rewarding of animals. We know that every dog is an individual with a different personality, and we love them for it. We treat every dog in our care as if it was our own, ensuring a safe and fun time for all.
